Lucy Liu is a voice actress, director and singer. She is also an actor. Beautiful, intelligent and gifted actress, she is an inspiration to Asian actors aspiring to make it big in Hollywood. After a series of appearances in television shows that were popular, she became famous after being cast on the Ally McBeal legal comedy where she played Ling Woo. Following a dramatic rise in her popularity, she got roles on the big screen such as Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. She then delivered an outstanding performance as Japanese criminal O'Ren Ishii, in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. At the same time her role as an actress in the flops of the box office like Rise: Blood Hunter were as well-known. In the following years, she started voicing characters from animated films such as Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason from Cashmere Mafia was a small role that did not have any effect. An appearance in the critically-acclaimed police drama Southland helped re-establish herself as an established actress.
