Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist is an author. She's co-founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global, as well as the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, writer, journalist, TV host, and owner of The Huffington Post. Born in Greece and relocated to England when she was 16. When she attended Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA in Economics. She was the first person who was not from the UK to serve as the president of The Cambridge Union at the age 21. Her success as a conservative columnist was consolidated after she finished her degree. After the launch of The Huffington Post a few year later, she established an online platform for voice that gave critical opinions on the politics. The fame of Arianna led to the recruitment of a number of prominent contributors to share their thoughts on news political, culture and politics. Arianna first gained notoriety in 2003 as she stood in the California recall election replacing then Governor Davis. In addition, she led an initiative in Detroit campaign to encourage fuel-efficient automobiles. Forbes listed her as the most influential female in the media industry in 2009. The newspaper was ranked as at 12th place on their ranking. The Guardian also included her to the top 100 list of media in 2009. In the year 2011, AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post and made her president of that media unit, which comprised of many existing AOL properties too such as Engadget AOL music Style list as well as Patch Media. She was born to a journalist and manager Konstantinos and his wife Elli Stasinopoulos. Her character was formed through her relationship with her mother, and the bond she shared with her dad, despite being extremely close to him. Through her early times, she demonstrated the qualities of a leader for which are still prominently known. At the age of 16, she travelled to England to study and enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. While in college she joined Cambridge Union, a college debate group. The third female president and the first foreigner she was the president of Cambridge Union. She graduated in 1972 with a master's degree in Economics. Her career as an anchor and reporter began after she graduated. Alongside Bernard Levin she appeared on an episode of Face the music.
